Employment Opportunities

At Dirigo Law Group, we are always on the lookout for top talent. Why should you join DLG? For starters, we work very hard, but we like to play hard, too. Do not be fooled by our small size and rural location. We are movers and shakers in the legal community. Despite being located in a more rural area of the State, we take on high-profile cases from throughout the State and often appear before the Maine Supreme Judicial Court. One of our partners clerked at the Law Court before coming to the firm.  Our attorneys serve on judicial committees and local boards and present at CLEs. We usually have law students at the very top of their class interning and working on cases with us, which adds amazing energy. There is no greater satisfaction to us than having our hard work pay off with a favorable settlement or verdict for our clients. We rely heavily on our staff members to make all of this happen, and we love when our staff members have worked hard on a case and are just as excited about a favorable outcome as we are. Our firm is growing rapidly, and we are looking for talented lawyers and assistants who would thrive in the exciting environment of a growing law firm powerhouse in the Midcoast.

At the same time, we love to laugh and have fun. It’s not unusual to hear members of the firm joking or laughing throughout the day—often at ourselves. We also love to celebrate our success by planning fun events that we can do together outside of the office. We have parties and dinners together, and always plan a grand Christmas celebration. We have organized law firm events from trips to Quebec City, outings on a Schooner, and afternoon picnics at Laite Beach. As you can see from our Community page, we also like to find ways as a firm to give back to the community with our time. We participate in bowling events to raise money for charity, triathlons, walkathons, and more.

The Midcoast is a wonderful place to live. Although it may seem quiet at first, the Midcoast has something to offer everyone. For those with children, Camden Hills Regional High School is ranked as the 7th best high school in the State. Outside of school, the area offers a wide variety of family friendly activities to keep everyone busy, including an impressive network of hiking trials, its own ski mountain called the Snow Bowl, public access to the ocean and lakes, and more. If you want to leave the kids behind, you’ll be impressed with the wide variety of quality restaurants, independent films being shown at the Strand Theatre in Rockland, cultural dinners at the Penobscot Bay Language School, and local microbreweries. Furthermore, Camden is home to several nationally and internationally-acclaimed events that attract people from all over the world including the Camden International Film Festival, the Camden Conference, and the U.S. National Toboggan Championships. Trust us—you won’t be bored living in the Midcoast.

We believe that top talent deserves top compensation. Our salary and benefits package reflects this commitment. We also believe that our law firm is an amazing place to work, but that is just our opinion. If you live in the Midcoast or are willing to relocate here, and you are curious about our unique law firm, visit the rest of our website and check out our firm’s Facebook page.
